GREETINGS!!

Welcome to our first edition of Touched by a Horse Newsletter. A little personal information and company history might be a great place to start. I founded the company Touched by a Horse, Inc. in 1999, with the assistance of a dear friend of mine, Donna.
Our first projects drew National attention in several magazines, as we created luxury 4 & 5 day retreats on my ranch in Longmont, Colorado. We also designed and created several 1 day and multi-day workshops and seminars for a variety of corporate clients and public demographics. The work was fun, creative and provided the foundation of a lot of our Workshops and Retreats we operate today. Donna has moved on to her own entrepreneurial pursuits and still throws her immense talent our way when needed.
In 2004, I was spiritually inspired to create a deck of Equine affirmational support cards entitled "Whispers from a Horse's Heart".

The artwork I selected for the project is that of Jan Taylor. She and I had been friends and horsewomen since the early 90s. I collected her beautiful paintings and I knew that Jan's style and incredible talent would make the deck a collectors item. I chose 52 of the paintings for the project and then spent several weeks writing about what each horse carried upon their hearts.
We have received so many wonderful emails and comments about the ways in which the deck has assisted people in their lives and the delight they have been when given as gifts. A 2006 highlight, was making the Best Sellers list on Amazon .com in April! All in all, it has been a very rewarding pursuit.
My professional background is that of a Psychotherapist. In my practice, I used guided imagery and meditation with clients. That background has served me very well in the creation of our two meditation CDs. We wholesale to a wide variety of stores across the US & Canada with a few sprinkled Internationally!
Our retail store opened in 2004 and has expanded immensely

in 2006 (with more goodies to come in the new year!) The retreats here at our ranch, called Lil Bit North Ranch, have continued to be popular and my traveling and speaking has been a thrill.
All in all, the business has kept my staff: Diane, Jan, Molly, Deb and myself, joyfully busy! We look forward to creating this letter and welcome your inquiries or feedback!

About Lil Bit North Ranch

Lil Bit North Ranch started in 1986. I had the great fortune to be able to develop a top Boarding, Training and Breeding facility in Cave Creek, Arizona where many of our foals were born. Our stallion, Go Robin Bar, is a three time World Champion and sired the majority of our foal crops. Raising several foals per year and maintaining a busy show schedule with over 50 boarders taught me a great deal about farm management and the business side of horses.

Lil Bit North Ranch was moved to 45 acres in Longmont, Colorado to escape the intense Arizona heat in 1997. Again, established for both Breeding and Boarding, it kept me busy and made the perfect backdrop to develop my retreats and personal therapy work with clients and horses.
In July of 2005, I relocated Lil Bit North Ranch to my present location in North Boulder. We built a custom facility especially designed for the Equine personal development and therapeutic work. The facility includes 2500 square feet of office space, conference room, classroom space and our store!

Touched by a Horse Retreats and Events

Touched by a Horse events and retreats are highly specialized in creating an environment that is intensely personal with ultimate safety. Culminating in an opportunity to create the abundant future the person desires and deserves. Each participant will achieve ultimate clarity on their direction and what they are focused on achieving. Exploring how they came to be who and what they are today yields the truth of their full capacity.

Retreat participants are provided with a horse specifically chosen to fit their individual needs and abilities. You need not be an experienced horse person in order to benefit from the interaction.

Lodging, gourmet meals, compelling presentations, and small group interactions are just part of the overall experience. We have consistently seen participants come away from these retreats knowing that their lives have been irrevocably changed for the better.

Indigo Method Retreat

Featured in the documentary, The Indigo Method, Melisa Pearce co-facilitates this retreat with a highly experienced group of practitioners who have developed a program concentrating on the creative and unique ways to deal with the challenges and experiences of parenting. This retreat is specially designed to explore the many dynamics of parental leadership, empowerment and boundary setting. Melisa teaches through her Horse Enhanced Accelerated Learning techniques. Her horse are co creators in every exercise. Melisa is joined by Tcha La Placa, Quantum healer, Dr Rashell, Nutrionist, Aaron Huey, Founder of Fire Mountain Kids.

Equi-Spiritual Event

Open to those who wish to discover and explore the vibrational energy fields of horses. We will explore the human relationships and karmic ties to horses. Whether you personally own a horse or are just an admirer come and enjoy the experiential workshop. Enhance your intuitive awareness through the exercises and demonstrations of the divine energy field of the equine.
Intuitive readings selected from the audience. Melisa will do light intuitive readings from her card deck Touched By A Horse. Melisa will also channel from photographs what messages horses carry in their hearts for their owners. These powerful and loving messages come through to enhance your connection and partnership offering a deeper understanding of your horse. If you are a horse owner be sure to bring a photo or two of your horse!
The application of numerology to equines will also be discussed and demonstrated a Esoteric Numerologer, Elizabeth Summers, intuitively describes in detail the horse from the birth registration name and birthdate.
If you are a horse owner be sure to bring your registration papers to participate in this process.

Homemade Horse Treats
The same way we bake cookies for the family we can have fun creating homemade treats for our horses. We will share some of our favorites with you on a regular basis. Your horses will love these!

Oatmeal Crispy Cookies
1 cup of butter
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup molasses
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups rolled oats
4 finely apples chopped
2 large carrots chopped
Mix all ingredients and put on a cookie sheet by rounded tablespoons. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes.
